Applications for the Save 2021 scheme have closed, with the response from home owners exceeding expectations.
And while the time is counting down for the new “Save – Renovate for Youth” and “Save – Enterprise” programs, interest in the new household energy upgrade program expected in 2023 is already high.
For the specific “Exikonomo” program of 2023, it is estimated that the money allocated will exceed 750 million euros.
Given that the countdown to the launch of the program has begun, sources from the Ministry of Environment and Energy report that the final features of the Guide have not been locked, however they will be quite similar to those of the previous “Exikonomo”.
Thus, for all types of application (individual apartments, single-family houses, multi-family houses), a mandatory upgrade by at least three energy categories will be provided, in order to ensure a Primary Energy Saving of more than 30%. At the completion of the project and based on the second Energy Performance Certificate, achievement checks will be made for both the minimum energy target and energy savings.
The Ministry of the Interior, in an effort to subsidize energy for more homes and at the same time to increase the number of beneficiaries, will maintain the significant differences it made in “Exikonomo 2021” compared to the previous programs.
